Castro's started as a carpet and rug cleaning company back in 1979! Since then the company has evolved but we are still providing carpet cleaning, upholstery and rug washing. My father Ramon Castro is in charge of all of the day to day carpet cleaning operations. Castro's provides expert care to all of your surfaces to extend their lifespan and help them look like new again.

Disaster relief is difficult to explain but in a nutshell it is being ready to pick up and go at a minutes notice. This could be around the corner or around the county. You have to be ready to go 24/7 and be ready to gone from home for weeks or months. When we go off to Disaster Relief rest assured that Castro's here at home is fully stafed and operational and we will always be here for our beloved community.
I remember during the TUBBS Fire in 2017 we had three work crews up in Santa Rosa helping with the smoke and ash clean up efforts. I saw the Thomas Fire in my backyard and decided to pull all of my crews out of the Tubbs Fire. A few days later we had our own devasting fire here at home.
On this incident we opted empahsize our efforts on large private schools and other large residential homes. Then the Montecito Mud Flow came soon there after and we were in recovery mode for what seamed like years. The experience we gain on large scale disasters is what we bring home to help with our own community.
I still remember about two days before the Montecito Mudd Flow, I was asked by a very prominent private school here in our community to assist them in setting a shelter in place plan and have them self sufficient while the rains were expected (DISASTER PLAN) I asked why me, they responded in the middle of the night while we started the Disaster Plan to shelter in place. They simply said we trust you to keep about 320 person safe and you are use to all of the bad disasters when you travel for storm. I had all of the essential building on generator power, water, fuel, trained on site personel how to fill generators, temp lighting, temp toilets. This was a big team effort. I love what I do.
Since our company was started in 1979, we have responded and seen many fires, floods, earthquakes, and hurricanes. What is contractor support? I get asked this a lot and it is exactly what it is, we support other Emergency Service Contractors. Some of the jobs that we get involved with are so large that there could be many contractors working together on the same job. We are not competitors but as I like to see it as colleagues. We all have our niche and that is why we get called to help.
Sometimes it could be a call from one of my collegues back east that they need 100 air scrubbers in Phoenix by tonight or a large 560KW generator set up in North Hollywood by night fall.
